JCalendar 2008 Newsletter Q3

 New Additions ...

JCalendar's coming to the 6th Judicial Circuit.

We are very excited to inform you that Softworks is currently working with the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida, to provide our JCalendar services to their judges. This should be effective mid to late September. This will greatly benefit those users who schedule in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Newport Richey, as well as Tampa. This addition will provide a one-stop scheduling calendar for both circuits. We would like to invite those of you who might use JCalendar to schedule with the 6th Circuit to contact us at: support email. We are attempting to obtain a count of our current users, who could take advantage of this new addition, to anticipate our future support needs and services.

Extra Extra ...

 Legally sign your documents digitally.

Digital Signatures (Certificates) are now available and accepted by JCalendar, for the submission of courtesy document filing, to the 13th Judicial Circuit. This service will  simplify the way you schedule with JCalendar. It can eliminate the need to print out your notices, motions, and other documents and scan them back into the system, once signed, by the attorney. Softworks has teamed up with IdenTrust, a leader in government digital certificates, to issue this new service to our users. A digital certificate is an electronic "identification card" issued to enable the user to legally sign documents and emails electronically.  These digital certificates establish an individual’s identity for online transactions––more securely than a simple username and password.  Softworks is now offering this new feature as a first step to a complete electronic file for the Court.  To acquire or find out more information about an ACES digital certificate for use with JCalendar, click Digital Signatures.

 Smart News ...

SmartDocs v2.5 Release

We are delighted to announce the 2008 upgrade to our SmartDocs for JCalendar.  SmartDocs provides a JCalendar user with the capabilities to automatically populate any legal document in seconds. The only thing needed is the case number. It provides a seamless connection to the Court with bi-directional data support. SmartDocs  provides the ability to pull all case data into a document with just one click. Many judges are now using SmartDocs to manage their Orders and Judgements and are now accepting proposed order submission, directly from Microsoft Word.
