Scheduling an Appointment |

1. |
Select "Scheduling" on the main menu. |

Next, select the resource (i.e. attorney) you represent. |

Next, select the division of the judge you wish to schedule with. | |

Next, select the specific judge's Calendar
from the "Resources"
dropdown
for which you will create this appointment. *These are pull down
menus located on the left-hand side of the scheduling screen. Click on the arrow
to open the list.
NOTE: Once you select the courthouse's resource (i.e. judge's calendar) make sure that you read the Judge's public notice to the right of the page for detailed instructions entered by the Judicial Assistant.

JCalendar will automatically search the entire
year for remaining availability of that Judge's Calendar and list those at the
bottom of the page. To refine your search you can navigate to a specific month
by selecting it in the calendar. Days with remaining availability will be
displayed with a bright blue background in the calendar selector.
You should now see the available schedule blocks for that date or date range displayed under the calendar selector at the bottom of the page. NOTE: You may need to scroll down the page to see all of the available times. |

| 6. | To select a schedule block click on the "Schedule" link to the left of each corresponding available time. | |

Next, the appointment page will be displayed requesting the pertinent information required. You can manually navigate the sub sections of the appointment by clicking on the tab strip, or just click on the 'Next' button to guide you to the required fields per section. If you skip a required field you will be asked to enter the information prior the system allowing you to proceed with scheduling. |

| a. | The first section is "Case Details": enter your case number and select 'Find'. Make sure you case exists and the listed parties are correct before proceeding. | |
| b. | Next section is "Event Details": select your primary motion from the pull down list. You can list additional motions in the text field below. | |
| c. | Next section is "Scheduling Party": select the which party your attorney represents in this case: plaintiff or defendant. | |
| e. | Next section is "Opposing Party": Specify the opposing counsel name, or select 'Pro se Litigant'. If you wish the opposing counsel to receive the confirmation email please enter the attorney's email address. | |
| f. | NOTE: If the creator of the availability block requires document uploading, continue to the last section: "Document filing". You must upload the required documents before you can complete the appointment: | |
| g. | Click on the acknowledge statement to activate the upload panel. Enter a brief description for the first file you wish to upload (For example "Notice Of Hearing"), then click 'Browse' to navigate to the desired PDF file on your local computer. Select the PDF file by double-clicking on it. Then select the 'Upload' button next to the 'Browse' button to attach the document to the appointment. Note: Upon completion of the attachment, the file will be listed below the upload panel. Repeat the process for any additional files. | |

Next, you will be required to confirm the appointment information submitted to the system. Proceed to the summary page by clicking 'Next' in the upper left corner.
If you skipped a required field you will be forced to enter the information before the system allows you to proceed to the summary page. |

On the summary page review the listed information and if correct click 'Confirm Appointment'. |

| 10. | Read the pop up message confirming you coordinated with opposing counsel and click 'OK'. | |

The system will generate a confirmation number that corresponds to the appointment that you have just created, write this number down or print out the page for future reference. The system will also send a confirmation email to the scheduling parties. |

Case Information
Case Number - This is the name of the schedule, which will be displayed to the attorneys and other users creating appointments for the judge. Hearing Type - Hearing types defined for the selected schedule block. These are the only hearings that are allowed for this block. Avail. Appt Times - The available appointment times defined for the selected schedule block. Defendant name - Name of defendant in the case. Plaintiff Name- Name of plaintiff in the case. Pre-Trial Date- This is the date in which this case is scheduled for pre-trial. Trial Date- This is the date in which this case is scheduled for trial.
Scheduling Attorney Information FL Bar # - The scheduling attorney's Florida issued bar number. Name - The scheduling attorney's name. Email - The scheduling attorney's email address. This will be used to send confirmation, and other notices regarding scheduling changes.
Opposing Attorney Information Opp Bar # - Opposing attorney's Florida issued bar number Opp Attorney Name - Opposing attorney's email address which be used to email the attorney the appointment confirmation. Reason/Notes - Any special notes need to communicate to the court and opposing attorney |
