 Internet Explorer "Prompt me to save passwords" Setting

When you first type a password into the login form, you will be asked if you would like Internet Explorer to remember the password. If you would like the password to be remembered, click Yes.

 

If you are not asked if you would like the password to be remembered, you need to select the setting within the AutoComplete feature.

 

To turn on this feature:

1.

Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then Internet Options.

2.

Click the Content tab.

3.

Under the AutoComplete section, click Settings.

4.

Check the Prompt me to save passwords checkbox.  (While in here, it would be a good idea to check the Web addresses, Forms, and User names and passwords on forms checkboxes), then click OK, and click OK again.
