Instructions on how to verify the file size of your documents. |
|
| 1. |
Open the file system by clicking on the My Computer icon on your desktop. |
| 2. |
Next, navigate to the location where the document is stored. In many cases this will be the My Documents folder. |
| 3. |
Once you locate the file, find the Size column, which is usually to the right of the file name. Note: This may require you to set the folder lists to Detail view by selecting the View icon and selecting Details. You may also view the details of the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting Properties from the dropdown menu. |
| 4. |
Once you are able to see the size column, make sure it is no more than 4,000KB (4MB). If it is larger than 4MB, then it will not upload. Most documents do not need to be this large, even documents with many pages. The usual reason for a file being this large is that the scanner is set to high resolution (a large DPI number - dots per inch). To resolve this, set the scanner properties to a Black and White document at 300 DPI. This setting can scan a document with 100 pages at less than 2MB. |
|
Additional Uploading Problems May Include: -Some special characters in the name of the file could affect the ability to upload a document. -If there is more than one period (.) in the file name, you will not be able to upload your document. -Make sure you have entered a description in the “Description” text field. -Make sure you have checked the "I acknowledge..." disclaimer checkbox if you are unable to access “Upload Form”. |
