File Size Requirements for E-Filing

To successfully E-File with JCalendar, you need to be able to upload the respective files for the Hearing Appointment.

JCalendar will only accept files smaller than 4MB:

Instructions on how to verify the file size of your documents.

  1. Open the file system by clicking on the My Computer icon, on your desktop.

  2. Next, navigate to the location where the document is stored. In many cases this will be the My Documents folder. See below for further illustration.

  3. Once you locate the file, find the Size column, which is usually to the right of the filename. Note: This might require you to set the folder list to Details View by selecting the View icon and selecting Details. You may also view the details of the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting Properties from the dropdown menu.

  4. Once you are able to see the size column, make sure it is no more than 4,000KB (4MB). If it is larger than 4MB, then it will not upload. Most documents do not need to be this large, even documents with many pages. The reason for a file usually being this large, is if the scanner is set to high resolution, and large DPI number. To resolve this, set the scanner properties to a Black and White document at 300 DPI. This setting can scan a document with 100 pages at less than 2MB.
