Immediate Document Submission to the Court

SmartDocs is directly connected to the Court data sources: This provides you with the ability to create a document, automatically populate it with the correct case data, then submit it to the Court, right from within Microsoft Word. Once a document is submitted, all parties on the case receive notification of that submitted document.. 

Faxing and Sending Directly from your Desktop

SmartDocs uses all of the Microsoft Word document functionality, which lends to the usage of all of your currently implemented faxing and emailing services. Using SmartDocs you can fax a document, right from you desktop, just the way you always have.

Export to PDF and other document image formats

JCalendar combined with SmartDocs provides the user with the ability to export the modified document to all popular document image formats, like PDF, RDF, TIFF, MDI.

Once your document is created and tagged from within JCalendar, it becomes a "Smart" document. That "SmartDoc" can be opened by any authorized user using Microsoft Word that has the SmartDocs plug-in installed, and (if modified-) can transfer the modified information back to JCalendar, without ever opening the JCalendar web site. This provides a "true" bi-directional data exchange. A "Smart" document not only populates all of its information based on the style of the case, but provides the ability to return information after being modified externally by Microsoft Word. 

JCalendar is built on Microsoft .Net Framework and is inherently integrated, through this foundation, with SharePoint services and storage capabilities. 

Document Viewing Enhancements

SmartDocs™ provides a robust viewing interface. It allows the user to search, annotate, and view multiple documents on one screen.

Provides the functionality to identify and index the content already contained in your digital documents.  This can be useful when creating already saved documents into SmartDocs.

JCalendar Integration

Softworks is excited to announce it's SmartDoc add-on to JCalendar.  SmartDocs provides you with the ability to automatically fill in all of your legal documents by typing in the case number. It provides a seamless connection to the Court data with bi-directional data support.

Increased Efficiency and Accuracy

Using SmartDocs will increase the efficiency of case- and document preparation. It provides you and your employees a familiar and easy to use Microsoft Word interface. SmartDocs allows you to pull all of your case data into a document with just one click: just mark any existing document/template with the provided set of bookmarks, then enter the case number and the entire document will populate the case information throughout the document. Additionally  SmartDocs allows you to search the Judge's online-schedule and create appointments just as you would through the JCalendar website and subsequently upload any documents associated with the appointment. All from within the SmartDocs add-on.
