Connecting to the State Bar Association
|
|
|
JCalendar provides full access to all information to all bar members throughout
the State, through its custom integrated system. This provides a one
login solution for the entire State. The system uses the State Bar as the login
authority. This eliminates a need for duplicate registration databases, in
different areas throughout the state. It can extend its secure login
capabilities and authentication procedures, to court technology staff, for
third party application integration and authentication. Providing the conduit to
all authentication throughout the state. |

Full
Judicial Workflow Management
|
|
JCalendar was designed from the Judge and the courthouse
staff's perspective. It was designed to enable the management of cases, events,
and resources with the courtroom workflow as its primary objective. Unlike most "Case Management" systems, which are heavily
geared to the Clerk of the Court's workflow, JCalendar provides a new
perspective to the "Workflow Management", where the Judge and court staff are
the focal point. |

Automated Customizable Remote
Scheduling
|
|
JCalendar has been used for scheduling and managing events
since 2003 and has become a proven judicial scheduling system in the State of
Florida. The core technology provides the Court with the ability to post and
manage availability of its resources (Judges, Courtrooms, etc.) in a
secure environment to all or specified external stakeholders on the system
(i.e. attorneys, legal professionals, court reporters, etc.). Each Judge or
Judges Assistant can customize the rules that are followed when a stakeholder
schedules on a specific docket ( i.e. "Allow
Online Cancellations", "Requiring Document Upload", etc.). This has proven
to assist in a reduction of over 40% of all phone calls made, directly to the
judge's office, by the legal community. This in turn, greatly increases court
staff's productivity and availablity to manage and accomplish more demanding
tasks from day to day.

Complete Document Submission and Management Capabilities
|
JCourier provides a robust add-on
to the JCalendar management product by enabling the attorneys and other
stakeholders to submit documents and other media, to the Court, through the same
portal they use to schedule. A user can submit a document while scheduling a
hearing, like a Notice and Motion, or attach a document directly to the case
before or after the scheduling process.
JCourier indexes and tags all media submitted with the
user information, date, time, and case indexing for a secure document filing
environment and for easy access by the Judge and other support staff.
**This is a completely
secure model as the system uses only one authority (State Bar Association) to validate the
attorney login and tagging of the media uploaded. |

Lobby Screen Output
|
|
JCast is a lightweight inexpensive casting solution, which integrates directly
into the JCalendar Scheduling and Events System. It provides the Court with the
ability to post dynamic schedules to specific screens in the lobby without any
additional IT personnel interaction. It pulls the information directly from
JCalendar, where most of the scheduling is done by Court staff and attorneys.
JCast helps to organize and manage high traffic areas of the Court and also
provides the ability to cast informational and educational video and audio. |

|
Comprehensive Legacy System Integration
|
|
|
Softworks provides full integration to all legacy data
systems. If there are other systems being used to manage cases, we can
integrate with that information store, so no redundant data entry is required. on
a broader level, JCalendar has become the "glue" to pulling many existing
technologies into a comprehensive easy to use interface for the Judge and other
court personnel. This includes digital court reporting systems, video
conferencing units, and other disparate
technologies. Making these, otherwise difficult to use systems a
practicality. |

Complete Microsoft Word
Integration
|
|
|
SmartDocs uses the JCalendar infrastructure to provide
document population and submittal capabilities to court staff and the legal
community. A user can create a document and
attach the JCalendar data elements, to it, for quick document creation and population. SmartDocs
"plugs" directly into Microsoft Word 2003 or 2007. |
|
|
|
Complete Microsoft Outlook Integration
|
|
|
The JCalendar OA, plugs directly into Outlook, allowing
the user to continue to use Outlook as their primary communications console, but
adds all of the JCalendar scheduling and resource management. This adds all of
the judiciary specific data-elements missing from the common Outlook interface. |
|
|
|
Complete
Microsoft InfoPath Integration
|
|
|
JCalendar can import customized InfoPath forms into its
scheduling and workflow in for customized data collection. i.e. A Judge can
require specific custom information to be filled out prior to scheduling a
hearing. |
|
|
|
|
Open Technology Standards
|
|
JCalendar and its ancillary products are written in Microsoft .Net Technologies
and provide XML based web-service access to Court IT staff and authorized
third-party vendors. |
|
Additionally we provide a developers toolkit, which allows the Court's IT staff
to reuse JCalendar GUI components in their custom applications. |
